ABOUT ABOUT

Marcia Bailey, Linda Chavers, Sheryl Sawin, and Elizabeth Sunflower would like to invite you and your students to Mosaic Out Loud, a theatrical collaboration between our Mosaic II students and Radical Acts, the social justice wing of Iron Age Theatre Company to be performed on Tuesday, April 19th and Thursday, April 21st during the 9:30 class period.  Mosaic Out Loud will bring to life significant moments in Mosaic texts through dramatic reading.  Our students will be preparing for this performance throughout the semester, building deeper connections to and understanding of the texts along the way.  Consider giving your students an opportunity to engage the ideas of such authors as Mary Wollstonecraft, Karl Marx, and Gloria Anzaldua in a new way, either by encouraging them to attend or, for those with classes in the 9:30slot, arranging to bring whole class.  This might be an excellent way of wrapping up the semester as the production will emphasize, not only the ideas of individual texts, but connections, sometimes difficult to see, between many of the texts throughout the course.
